The Cemeteries Bylaw 2014 describes the rules around cemetery operation, burials and cremations. It sits alongside legislation to control activities within cemeteries and ensure that convenience, safety and visual amenity are maintained for all visitors to our cemeteries. The Cemeteries Bylaw seeks to ensure Napier’s residents can be memorialised and remembered in a dignified way in one our City’s cemeteries.
