The Parks and Reserves Bylaw controls a diverse range of activities to ensure high standards of convenience and safety are maintained and Napier residents can continue to enjoy our reserves now and into the future. The Bylaw addresses behaviour on reserves and beaches and also looks at activities within these areas which may have an adverse effect on the users of these facilities.

Some of the subjects addressed in the Parks and Reserves Bylaw include:

  • Opening and closing of reserves
  • Sports and games
  • Vehicle use
