Joint Waste Management and Minimisation Plan

We are working with Hastings District Council to review our WMMP for 2025-31, and we want your input. Your ideas on how to reduce waste will be an important part of getting our plan right.

Hastings District Council and Napier City Council develop a waste plan together because of our close proximity and links. By law, our plan must be updated every six years.

Having a plan allows us to prioritise the goals and actions that will help us manage and minimise waste over the next six years.

We are asking for your input so our plan reflects our community’s goals and priorities. You will also have the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft plan which will be out for consultation in March 2025.

Please share your ideas with us before 11:59pm, Sunday 30 June
