Trade Waste & Wastewater Bylaw 2022

The Trade Waste and Wastewater Drainage Bylaws are being consolidated to provide an updated and enhanced regulatory framework that provides for better environmental protection. The proposed Bylaw will raise the standard of pre-treatment required and more fairly distribute the cost of maintaining the wastewater network.

We are seeking your feedback on the following key proposals:

  • Expanding Trade Waste consenting coverage
  • Introducing a revised charging model
  • The use of WasteTrack for liquid waste operators
  • Grease trap regulations
  • Phasing the implementation of any new regulations.
